A Dentist for Kitchener Patients
KWC Dental does not have an office in Kitchener. What we do have is a clinic just across the city line: KWC Bridgeport Weber Dental, in Bridgeport Plaza in Waterloo, about 7 minutes by car from downtown Kitchener in light traffic. This page is written for Kitchener patients who make that short trip.
Serving Kitchener from Waterloo
Where Kitchener patients are seen
The practice has served patients across Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge as a family owned and operated business since 2000. We are proud dental providers of the Kitchener Rangers.
All Kitchener appointments described on this page take place at our Waterloo clinic:
KWC Bridgeport Weber Dental
70 Bridgeport Rd E, Unit 10
Waterloo, ON N2J 2J9
Phone: 519-885-7272
Opening hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Saturday: 9:30am to 1:30pm
- Sunday: closed
For a lot of Kitchener commuters the useful part is the evening and Saturday time. If you work downtown, a 5:00pm appointment on a weekday is realistic, and the Saturday morning hours mean a cleaning does not have to cost you time off work.
From Kitchener to Bridgeport Plaza
Bridgeport Plaza is on the corner of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North in Waterloo. Weber Street runs from Kitchener into Waterloo, so from downtown Kitchener most of the drive is on one road.
Three ways to drive here
- Weber Street, the direct route. From downtown Kitchener, head north on Weber Street. Stay on Weber as it crosses into Waterloo, and the plaza is at the corner of Bridgeport Road East.
- King Street, through Uptown. From central Kitchener, follow King Street north into Uptown Waterloo, then turn east onto Bridgeport Road East. This can be slower when Uptown is busy.
- The Conestoga Parkway. From farther east or south in Kitchener, the Conestoga Parkway may be quicker. Your map app will suggest the right exit for where you start.
Kitchener neighbourhoods and typical drive times
These are mapping estimates for light traffic. Rush hour can add several minutes.
| Kitchener area | Typical drive |
|---|---|
| Belmont Village | about 6 minutes |
| Downtown Kitchener, Kitchener City Hall | about 7 minutes |
| Grand River Hospital area, King Street West | about 7 minutes |
| Bridgeport, Kitchener | about 7 minutes |
| Kitchener Market, King Street East | about 8 minutes |
| Forest Heights | about 15 minutes |
| Fairview Park Mall area | about 17 minutes |
Parking when you arrive
There is on-site plaza parking in the Bridgeport Plaza lot.
Coming by ION or bus
Our Waterloo clinic is easy to reach by ION or bus. From Kitchener, ride ION north from a downtown station, such as Kitchener City Hall or Central Station, to Waterloo Public Square in Uptown Waterloo. From there the plaza is about a 15 minute walk east. Grand River Transit buses also run along Weber Street, with stops near the plaza. The GRT trip planner will show the current route and stop for your trip.
Why we serve Kitchener from Waterloo, and what that means for you
We would rather tell you plainly where your care happens than list an address we do not have. In practice, for a Kitchener patient:
- One clinic, one record. Your x rays, treatment notes and hygiene history are kept at Bridgeport Weber, so whichever dentist you see there has the full picture.
- Short trip, not a commute. From much of central Kitchener the drive is under ten minutes in light traffic.
- The same phone number every time: 519-885-7272.

Becoming a patient from Kitchener
Booking your first visit
Ask for a New Patient Exam. It is about 90 minutes long and covers a cleaning and polish by a hygienist, x rays if needed, and a full examination by a dentist, who then explains the diagnosis and suggests next steps.
Allow 15 minutes before the appointment for check in and forms, plus your drive from Kitchener. Bring:
- emailed electronic copies of any dental x rays from the last six months
- insurance information
- a list of medications, if you take any
- IFHP papers, for refugees covered by the Interim Federal Health Program
Coverage and payment
- We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
- We accept all private insurance plans, and we are happy to bill your insurance provider directly on your behalf.
- Patients are ultimately responsible for understanding their coverage before beginning treatment, but we can assist by submitting estimates and direct billing when available.
- Dentalcard gives you a payment plan option for any of our treatments.
Conestoga College students who have not opted out of the college dental plan are most likely eligible for coverage. Our Financing Options page lists the Conestoga plan as including recall exams, cleanings, root planing and scaling, fillings and extractions, root canal and gum treatment, and crowns, bridges and dentures.
